At 41 years old, after years of sending wishes to the sky, into fountains, in letters and prayers… I received the most beautiful news:
I was pregnant.
What once felt impossible was now real.
And that day changed my life forever.
The Breath That Announced It All
I remember sighing many times during the day.I told my husband:— “Love… I feel like I’m out of breath, like I’m sighing with love…”
And I was.Isabella was already growing inside me, quietly making her presence known. We went to the doctor, and they confirmed it:We were having a baby. A girl. And so, a new story began.
The Diagnosis: Faith Over Fear
At 10 weeks, we received an unexpected diagnosis: Isabella had a genetic condition known as 22q11 syndrome, also called DiGeorge Syndrome. We didn’t fully understand what it meant… but we felt an immense love and an unexplainable peace.
My husband asked if I wanted the amniocentesis test, which carries a risk to the baby.Without hesitation, I said:
“No, love. I’m at peace with the information we have. God will guide us.”
He smiled and said:
“Thank you, love. I feel the same.”
And so the story began — not with fear, but with love.
Nine Months of Hope and Love
We knew the diagnosis was complex. But deep down, something kept whispering:
“Everything will be okay.”
Those months were filled with music, prayers, sketches, and dreams. We knew Isabella was a miracle. And she still is.
The Day We Met Isabella
On June 26, 2018, Isabella was born. That day, we also met the incredible doctors, nurses, and specialists who now feel like part of our family.
I couldn’t hold her right away, or breastfeed as I had imagined. She was welcomed by a full team of specialists: cardiologists, geneticists, pediatricians, respiratory experts…
They took her gently to stabilize her.And me? From my hospital bed, with my divine ignorance or maybe divine wisdom…
I smiled with pure, infinite joy.
What If Your Dream Comes With a Surprise?
Sometimes we dream for so long…And when it finally comes true, it brings something unexpected.
What if you're afraid? What if it’s harder than you imagined?
Let me tell you this:Sometimes the dream comes wrapped in a secret gift. One you never expected…But one that will shape you, strengthen you, and reveal the most beautiful version of yourself.
The Syndrome of Life
Isabella wasn’t just born with a genetic syndrome. She was born with what I call: the syndrome of life.
The one that helps you see things differently.Feel deeper.Be grateful for the little things. And turn the unknown… into purpose.
A Mother’s Heart
Today, with her permission and her six-year-old voice, she told me:
“Mommy, write my story.”
So here I am.And if you're reading this — thank you.Thank you for holding space for our tears, our laughter, and our faith.
May this blog inspire you to trust, to dream again, and to know:Even when the plan isn’t clear…There’s always a greater plan waiting to unfold.

Embrace the healing power of art and let it guide you on your journey.
